AI Use Policy

Effective date: 2026-08-19 Document version: draft

This AI Use Policy explains how Pixverax LLC provides AI features on Pixverax (pixverax.com) and your responsibilities when using them.

1. Nature of AI outputs

Outputs are generated by machine learning systems and may be inaccurate, biased, or unexpected. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them.

2. Provenance and disclosure (including AI Act Art. 50)

Where technically feasible, we embed machine-readable provenance metadata (C2PA Content Credentials) in downloadable originals and may also show visible AI indicators in the product UI.

Under the EU AI Act Article 50 framework, marking (human-visible or otherwise) and detectability (machine-readable provenance that third parties can inspect) are treated as complementary obligations for AI-generated content. Our public /verify page is provided so anyone can inspect detectability without an account.

Important: removing a visible platform watermark does not remove legally required provenance. Re-encoding, transcoding, or stripping metadata may destroy C2PA marks; that does not authorize redistribution as human-authored content. You must not remove legally required AI disclosures or provenance data when redistributing outputs.

3. Human oversight

You must not use outputs as the sole basis for decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on individuals without appropriate human review.

4. Third-party model providers

Prompts and necessary assets may be processed by subprocessors providing model inference. See our Privacy Policy for the sub-processor overview.

5. Retention of AI artifacts

Artifact retention follows site configuration: free-tier about 30 days; paid-tier about 12 months after entitlement ends.
